The problem
Rank Math has a Lock Modified Date option and it is off by default, per post. So correcting a typo on a four-year-old article updates the modified date, which flows into your sitemap and your schema and tells search engines the content changed when it did not. Remembering to tick a box on every edit is not a workflow.
What this plugin does
Flips the default to on in the block editor. You can still untick it when an edit genuinely is a content update.
